One thing is certain about cars in our society, we need them. People in many places can’t really survive without a car. Yes there are buses but in this very busy life that makes it difficult.  Because cars are so important to our lives it makes sense to know how to care for them.  So we are going to look at two major parts of our car that always need to be maintained.

The engine is the first part that is very important to a car. This is similar to the car’s heart. It will die or stop working if you don’t take good care of this part of your car. So in my Vista auto repair service I make sure my customers know how important this part is.  But it is also easy to take care of. If a person were to just do regular tune ups and change the oil they will keep their car in good shape.

Next part of the car that is important is the transmission. In being able to drive your car this is critical. If your transmission break down so does the entire use of your car.  In my Oceanside auto repair shop I see so many broken down transmissions.  Most of the breakdowns could have been avoided. The main method to do that is to ensure a sufficient supply of essential fluids at all times.  Plus to make sure to change gears gently and always at a complete stop.

Taking good care of your car’s transmission and engine isn’t that difficult as you can see.All it requires is a commitment to make sure that that part of your car is taken cared.I tell all my clients of my shop that doing a little maintenance today will enable them to save a large amount of money in the future. They end up having cars that last a long time without any problems those who are willing to do that.  Those that don’t end up with cars they have to bring in all the time with problems.

Relation of auto problems and cold weather

A lot of things change as seasons also change.  Obviously the weather changes.  But did you know the change in weather also affects your car?  It seems that there are more problems in the winter with cars.Your car would have a great chance of breaking down if you live in a city with a harsh weather. We would be discussing some reasons as to why cars are affected by the weather.

In my Vista auto repair service the biggest cold weather problem are dead batteries. The reason for this is because when it is cold your battery has more work to do.And because of that it runs a little harder. You use your headlights more because the daylight is shorter. And the heater also takes more energy from the battery as compared to an aircon. So to make sure your car does not enocunter battery problems you must make sure that everytime you go out your battery is in good condition.

Next problem that happens in the cold weather are frozen fuel lines.  This isn’t a big auto problem for my Oceanside auto repair service.  But this is a headache for car owners in cities with very cold weather. This happens when you let your car run low on fuel and then the condensation starts. And if that condensation freezes it can stop the fuel from flowing.  The best way to avoid that is to not let your fuel run low in the winter.

Another big problem is tire pressure.Pressure can be lost on tires if the weather is cold. This would be bad because it can hasten the rate of making the tires go bald.Bald tires can be fatal on icy roads.  So this is a serious problem. So always check your tire pressure.

So there goes some of the problems encountered by car owners when the weather is cold. You can prevent some of the problems if you can just do those tips. And you do not want to encounter those problems especially during cold season.

One thing the bad economy has done is caused people to want to save money.  Everybody wants to find as many ways to save money.  One way that often gets overlooked is taking care of your car.  People think of it as an expense.Rather, they should have a good look at it and consider using it for an investment.Because if they take the time and money to care for their car it will end up saving them more money.Another thing is their cars are going to save them money and last longer. They will probably be able to hang onto their car for longer periods of time instead of getting a new one.

So here are a few things you can do to save money on auto repair expenses.  In my Escondido auto repair service I always advise my clients to do regular tuneups. If they do take a little bit of time to change any old spark plugs, plus check the fluids it will help.It will help your car’s engine to run much smoother. In addition it is going to help it last longer.

Another piece of advise I give my clients of my Carlsbad transmission repair service shop is to take care of their transmission. The transmission is a very costly in terms of trying to repair it.  Plus it is a part of the car that is easily damaged.  So the best way to care for your transmission is to be easy on it when you drive.  Don’t shift while your car is still moving.  Plus you want to make sure that their is adequate transmission fluid.A ruined transmission in the end will cost thousands of dollars to fix for the car owner. The thing that will work the best for you to do is to care for it now.

So those were a few things you could do to help your car to last longer.  As mentioned you will be spending money now.Because should you do it, you will really be saving more money in the end.  It has been proven time after time with my clients of my Oceanside auto repair service shop.Like most things when you have to fix something it will cost more then if you had spent money to not have it break.

Car problems are something every one experiences. It does not matter what brand of car you have.Cars are just made to last for a certain period of time and they will eventually start having problems.  But with that in mind there are some common problems you can avoid. Or if not avoid you can at least lessen the problems they give you.

First problem we cantal about is the problem caused by running your car on low oil. This should not really be a problem. But some people out there with cars neglect this one basic fact that cars burn oil. Since they burn oil your oil will run out if you don’t check it.  That is one of my biggest pieces of advice for my Escondido auto repair company.  Make sure to always check your oil.If the level is low already then immediately fill her up.  It will save you some major engine damage if you run it low on oil.

Another common problem that people always bring to my Oceanside auto repair shop is check engine light problems. It usually about your emmision when your check engine light turns on.  First thing to realize is you don’t have to panic.  It isn’t something that will ruin your car.You just have to look at your car manual first to know what the problem is exactly about .You may want a mechanic to have a look at it later but do not worry about it too much.

Finally, clicking noises is another problem that car owners complain about their cars. This is usually caused by a piece of rock or debris in the tires. You can just take some time off and go take a look at your tires. If you find something stuck in your tires then you can just use some pen or stick to remove it from its place. It is not a major cause of rpoblem for your car.It will just make you worry especially if you are not well-versed with car problems because it might sound like there is something wrong with your car.  Or it is one of those things that can be annoying. But it would not even cause a major problem with your car even in the long run.

So, there you have some of the most common problems with your car. Here’s hoping that you would not get too worried the next time you encounter these problems.

One thing that people always neglect to do with their cars is its maintenance. They do not realize that this simple task can let them save a lot on auto repairs.  But not only save them money but also save them time.Because maintenance will take a lot less time than repairs. So what can one do to avoid shelling extra money on auto repairs?

Well, first thing you can do is to always keep your car tuned up. This is a very easy procedure to do.But it is a procedure that will lengthen the longevity of your car.  In my Escondido auto repair shop I always encourage my clients to bring their car in for tune ups.It is not because I want to make more money. But for them to save a lot of money on repairs.

Another thing I always encourage is to always do oil changes. Being able to do this task will go a long way.  It will help their engine run smooth and last longer.Think of the oil as your car’s blood. It won’t be able to survive just like a person that is losing a lot of blood.A car that is low on oil can severely damage its engine.  I have seen it too many times where customers brought in a burnt out engine into my Oceanside auto repair shop. And the reason for this is just due to low oil levels. So be smart and regularly change the oils of your car.

Lastly, I also tell my clients to always check their transmission.  Just like the engine, the transmission is a very expensive part to replace.  But having it last long is easy. You just need to take care of it regularly.  In my transmission repair shop I always tell my clients to check their transmission fluid.Neglecting the level of it and make it go so low will ruin your transmission.

So, that is it.Performing these simple things will enable you to save a lot on money on repairs.  Plus your car will last longer.

The transmission is one of the most expensive parts of a car to be repaired. A damaged transmission could cost as much as several thousand dollars. What’s sad about it is that it could have been avoided.Of course, it won’t be possible to avoid all car problems. But following these 3 tips would definitely increase your chance of avoiding it.

So, the first tip is to pay good attention to your car. This tip is given free but you should make sure that you do it regularly. When I say pay attention to your car what I mean is to look out for leaking fluids. Are the gears rough when you shift it?Those are some of the transmission problem signs. All my clients of my Escondido auto repair always get a list of what they should look out for between maintenance.

And the second advice is also free.  It is also something you have total control of.  That is making sure you drive well.A lot of people don’t take care of their cars when they are driving and they drive it hard. They don’t realize that they need to take care of it to avoid costly problems.  A lot of the times the cars that need to be repaired in my Oceanside auto repair shop you can tell which cars weren’t taken care of.Usually, it also means that they would spend more on repairs. So do the right thing and take care and regularly maintain your car.

The final tip will cost you some money.  But spending money will save you money in the long run.And that would be preventive maintenance. You must bring your car to auto shops for a regular check up.Just like when people go to doctors for a checkup of their health. That would be the same for your cars where you should take your car in regualrly for maintenance. And in that way you can avoid problems by solving them early on. And you would also be able to catch early problems. The earlier you detect problems, of course, the less money you have to shell out on repairs.

So follow these tips wisely.  It is what I give to all my clients of my Oceanside auto repair.  It saves them money.

How to avoid transmission problems

The transmission is one of the most important parts of your car. And it is not just one of the most important part but also one of the most expensive to repair or replace.  If you have to get it repaired it is very costly. That is the reason why you have to take care of it.Because if you do not take care of it, it will hurt you in the long run.  So here are some tips to take better care of your transmission.

One of the minor things that causes problems for your transmission is because people do not check their transmission fluids.  Not having enough transmission fluid causes so much damage that I see it happen all the time in my Vista auto repair shop. What’s sad about this is the fact that it could have been avoided. All a person needs to do is to always check his/her car’s fluid levels.  If it gets low go ahead and add some more.  It is an easy task but can save a lot of money.

Second thing you must not do is shifitng gears while moving. You would be surprised at the number of cars that come in damaged in my Oceanside transmission repair shop from this problem alone.Do not be too impatient and hot headed that you would shift gears while moving. That is another thing that is very easy to do. But the inability to do it will damage your transmission bit by bit.

Finally don’t let your transmission run hot.  An overheated transmission will damage easily.  I always advise my La Costa auto repair clients to make sure to add a coolant type of additive to their fluid. This helps the transmission to be cooler while running.

If a person were to do these things, they can help their transmission last longer.  Failure to do so will hurt them in the pocket books.  With these things being so easy to do it shouldn’t be a problem.

Transmission of cars-how to tell if it has defects

One of the most costly to be replaced parts of your car is the transmission. There are even times when replacing the transmission system will cost more than replacing your car with a new one.So having known that fact, car owners should take more care of their cars. One way you can do that is by paying attention to what’s happening to your car. What I’m trying to say is that there are signs that you can observe to tell you if your transmission is having problems. Because repairing potential problems will be cheaper than a real problem.

The first sign that you can easily see and look out for is a leak.  A lot of times I have cars brought into my Vista auto repair shop where the problem started with a simple leak.Red leaks are what you should be on the lookout for.If you find any red fluid leaking from your car then that is your transmission fluids.  Damage happens to your transmission if you are low in fluid.  If you find a red leak immediately fill up more transmission fluid. Then go bring it to an auto repair shop to have the leak fixed.

Another thing that you must be on the watch for are noises and vibrations coming from the transmission of your car.  From my experience running my La Costa transmission repair shop those noises are a sign of a couple of things.  It could be a sign of low fluid.Or there is also the possibility of damaged transmission cables.Immediately have your car checked by a mechanic to see if you have those kinds of transmission problems.

Finally, you should always be on the lookout for an overheating transmission. That will be your biggest hint that there is a problem with your transmission. I see all the time cars brought into my La Costa auto repair shop that had that problem.  Most of the times it was brought in too late.  So rather than having an inexpensive repair it was a major repair.

You can avoid major expenses if you just follow those steps and observe your car.It is a simple task and it can save you a lot on expenses and repairs.

Getting your transmission to go longer

One of the repairs that will cost you a lot on a car is having the transmission done.It is a repair that you do that you really don’t want to hear you have to do.Naturally most people will want to know some ways to get it to last longer.  Or they want to know if it is even possible. Like anything it is possible. You can ensure that it can last longer by being sure to care for it.But here are some more things that are more specific in helping your transmission get more life.

First thing you will need to do is be sure to keep your fluids at the right level.  Just like everything in your car you want to keep your fluids right. But in regards to your transmission it is imperative if you truly want it to last longer.  Whenever a client takes there car in to the La Costa transmission repair shop I run I always check their fluids.  I also recommend they always keep a close eye on their fluid levels. If they try to operate their car with low fluid levels they are going to ruin their transmission.  Or it won’t last as long as they want.

Second thing you have to know is that heat can hurt your transmission.  So what you want to do is make sure you keep your transmission cool.  One of the best ways to do that is to add transmission cooler. You can find some easily at an auto parts dealer.  Of course when clients come and bring their cars in to our Vista auto repair shop we add it in also. This allows the transmission to run a lot cooler.

Finally this way is going to be easy.Don’t ever try to shift the gears while your car is moving.  You will be surprised at the number of people who ruin their cars by shifting gears while the car is moving.  I am not because we see it all the time in our La Costa auto repair shop.  People bring their cars in with ruined transmissions because they shifted while moving.

One of the most expensive repairs a car can have are transmission problems. Most cars are built well nowadays. But it will be damaged eventually and it can be very expensive to fix.So you should make sure that you regularly maintain the transmission of your vehicle. So let us now look into some signs of a transmission problem.

First thing that can signal a problem with the transmission is by looking at the fluids. With a dipstick you can check if there are signs of a leak in your fluid levels. If you find that the fluid is low it could be a sign of a leak.A sure sign of a problem is if the liquid isdark already and has a burnt smell.  So to make sure your car doesn’t suffer any severe transmission damage always check your fluids. If you observe one these signs then that would also be a sign for you that you need to go immediately to an auto repair shop.  I catch a lot of transmission problems early in my Vista transmission repair shop with these signs alone.

Another sign of transmission problems is when you have a delay when you shift it into drive. If it takes your gear a moment to get in place when you shift then that would be a sign of problem. That problem is called as the delay of engagement. This could be a sign that the transmission is too worn or some other problem. I have all my clients take it into my Vista auto repair shop anytime they get the delayed engagement problem.

Last sign of problem that I know of is when you shift the gears and it is jerky then that would be another sign of problems to come. All shifting done when driving should be smooth and not jerky. This would be the sign that your transmission is worn out because every time you shift gear your car jerks. I catch a lot of problems early in my La Costa transmission repair shop when this happens.By detecting problems earlier, a customer can save more money instead of spending it on repairs.
